K, can stop now please

I have... dunno exactly. It's not a cold and it's not flu but I feel like crap. Constantly cold and shivery and the other night I threw up for no good apparent reason.

It can go away - bored now. I refuse to go to London with the virus from hell and my period. Okay so I haven't got that yet but come on! I know it's going to happen, because life is like that and my body is a git.

I got a skirt from Tesco. It's a bit summery for this time of year but it a) goes with a silver top I have and b) is Stargate Puddle Blue (which is now an official colour cos I said so).

I'm awaiting the day you can go into B&Q and buy a tub of Dulex in Stargate Puddle Blue. Or a Ford/Nissan/Ferrari. They get extra points if they make it wavy *grins*

I need to mention Sunday because it sucks, even though I knew (teh Hewlett gave the game away).

Geekboy beat me to it. See that though? That will be me one day. Though I won't have acted in SGA. And it won't be a comedy.

I had my first evening of the business course last night. It looks to be interesting, aside from the IT bit I have to do (How To Use Email??? Perleeeeease!) First wekk of that is next Thursday. SO I will be sat at the back fretting about Friday and travelling to London on my own

Does anyone know what to wear to a sci fi convention? I need to like organise clothes. Clothes would be good.

Blasted fuses

So it wasn't the drive belt on the washing machine. I thought it was cos it souded just like my mum's did when her belt went.

H took the washing machine apart yesterday. He traced the problem to the drainer pump and opened that. The problem was a fuse that had somehow skipped the filter and was rattling round inside the pump.

Car fuse, so I wonder where that came from? *rolls eyes*

Anyhoo, upshot is that I now have a working washing machine and it didn't cost anything. Hurrah.

Crash diet time!

I can nearly get into my jeans (ignore the fact they are a size 20 plzkthx). This means I have three weeks to lose the right kind of pounds. And save some of the other kind.

If there was a trade for fat to cash, I'd be laughing.

I wonder if I can survive P2 on breakfast alone, seeing that comes with the room. I am really, really skint *eyes yet another DD refusal from the bank*

My word count is around 4k, which really isn't that great. I should be hitting 1600 a day, or thereabouts.

New Year, New Year

So that was 2006. This week I have to remember two things: one - it's January and not December, and two - it's 7 and not 6.

Has anyone else figured it's two double o seven. Spooky.

K, my resolutions are as follows: to lose weight, to exercise more, to write more, and not to embarrass myself at Pegasus 2.

I appear to be ringing in the new year with a stinking cold and what feels suspiciously like TTOM. Bugger.

morbid_sparks was somewhat dischuffed that Elizabeth has been pointing at my SGA tattoo and going "doca ooo" (Doctor Who), so I've been teaching via my LJ layout.

"Rodney" is apparently beyond her capability.

But "David" isn't.

I have little to report. Life is at that plodding stage it hits post-Christmas, almost as if it to has had too much pudding. Most interesting thing to note is that

morbid_sparks is temporarily residing at our house. So far we have watched Monty Python and gotten drunk. Oh and I saw Tao finally. *smiles*

Tonight it's very quiet (if you exclude Tizzle). I think we're somewhat tired after staying up til 2am.
