an apology
5 Apr 2005 09:32 amWell the fallout out continues. The BBC now admit they didn't speak for Chris when they announced his leaving. "But the BBC has admitted it did not consult him about that statement and also broke its agreement not to reveal he planned to film just one series."
So I was right and this was planned. However the BBC, seeing the high viewing figures and immediately forecasting a backlash upon themselves, release this "statement" and direct the fan vitriol at Chris.
Gotta love em (heavy on the sarcasm). The rest of it is here.
Poor Chris. This is highly unfair. And even if he changed his mind about a second series, he can't do it now. I think about the kind of comments that were going around about him too and it makes me cringe.
However I'm a Big Girl - Chris, I'm sorry. I apologise for judging before I had all the facts.
