as we know it, and I feel fine. should have been that, not Toxic. And after Tainted Love fitted so well.

After a lil recap (sooo missed Chris Judge goin "Last time on..." *snort*), the action went on smoothly. Loved that, I did. I'm a geek.

That first scene between the Doctor and Rose is hysterical. Boys and their toys, lol. "You think you're so impressive." I wonder if the Doctor really should look at her like that while... erm.. pumping that thing tho. *giggles*

Scream if you want to go faster.

What the hell was the desk bell about?

"... but you never take time to imagine the impossible. That maybe you survive." Yes [livejournal.com profile] gypsyjr, looks like he is gonna give us chills at least once an episode. There's a problem with that? *grin*

I like the intro of the aliens scene. The sheer stupidity of the Doctor during the gifts. (And he's such a tart, really). Yay, silliness and pointless gags!!! Rose's expression of increasing panic. And because I'm pathetic, I love the way he watches her and steps forward as it all gets too much. Damn the Tree Lady for getting in the way! But of course there's a Reason for that, as it turns out.

Okay. Lil metal bugs. I am really fed up of lil metal bugs in sci fi shows. There have been LMB of various types tormenting the universes of Babylon 5, Farscape and Stargate SG1 now. And that's not including the movies. Reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaal old, people. Pardon me for asking, but since they're meant to be causing mayhem, why did they make so much noise? And why couldn't anyone heard them??

"The aliens - they're so alien." Yes Rose, love. Obviously not a sci fi fan and never been to a convention before :P (Sorry) Anyway, there's an Argument. *gasp* Rose is looking for Reassurance by asking where he comes from but the Doctor acts like she's asked him his knicker size and Doesn't Want To Talk. TV geeks get all excited as they smell Something Big. (Avoiding the Subject is always a plot pointer to Something Big.) Rose backs down first. On the second watching of this scene, I realised that the Doctor fixing her mobile is an Apology. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

There's a big shudder. "That wasn't supposed to happen," announces the Doctor with the kind of expression that makes you know he's making Huston references in his head.

So the Doctor and... erm... Tree Lady wander off to... erm... fiddle with things. It's a Plot Device to get them alone so we get that scene. More teases about the backstory. Emotion from the Doctor. *sniffles* By Davies, that were powerful scripting and acting. But I won't rant, cos I did that already.

Of course it's Cassandra that's been causing the trouble. She's after more money for more ops cos she's never heard of irons. Anyway, she teleports out, leaving everyone to die!!! Yeah right, not today cos the Doctor's in full Bond mode (without the puns thankfully) and he's off to Save The World. Well the spacestation. Of course, things aren't quite that simple and he must face the Fans of Death. Bloody stupid place to put a walkway. I'm puzzled by the impression of Obi Wan, but anyway Doctor Ben *snerk* makes it to the Cure All Switch, though not before Tree Lady has burnt to a cinder. More angst. Ah shame.

I love the next bit - the Doc storms back with a face like thunder, quietly tells the other Trees about Jade, then starts going on about Ideas. He's obviously extremely pissed. Move out of the way. He finds the feed and returns Cassandra to the scene of the crime. She's all "oh it was just a test" before she starts making some ominous noises. The heated station is drying her out. She begs her help and Rose asks the Doc, but he reinterates his earlier statement of "everything has it's time and dies" speech and calmly watches as Cassie hits critical and then everywhere else. *snerk*

So it's all over bar the cleaning up and the hefty bill. Rose stares out of the window - in the mist of all the excitment they've missed the Earth going 'boom'. She's all sniffy, but the Doctor just goes "Come with me" (what is that, a catchprase or sommat?) and they go back to Earth. Like in all respects. As they wander round, the Doctor gives Rose the information she asked for earlier...

GALLIFREY IS GONE! *shrieks and is stunned* For someone out of the loop completely with Whodom, I was like "ohmigod" and squeaking muchly. I really need to do some reading. Anyhoo, there was a war and They lost. Actually he doesn't tell her the name, just that his planet is "gone; burned" and something about rocks. Oh and he gives Rose the option to walk away. She starts debating cos she's not sure, but is distracted by chips. Real English Gal, is our Rose. Heh.

This has taken by over an hour. I need a life. *thinks* Nah, sod it. *bounces off to investigate the Fate of Gallifrey*
