misaffection: (DW: Tardis Calling)
[personal profile] misaffection
I'm still feeling pretty high from finishing TKE. Bizarrely I now don't think the target is beyond reach. Yes it's going to be hard and it does involve me writing lots. But yes, it's possible.

Writing TKE has been a learning curve. I've learnt that I have Jack in my head. About halfway through writing it dawned on me that I could hear the Doctor - not any of the others, or McKay, but one of his own creation - and that was a weird moment. I also discovered that writing for someone famous has no effect whatsoever on my writing style.

That's not to say I didn't have mild freak outs. There were points when the Doctor would say or do something and the whole reason would crash into my head. To actually be doing this with the definite aim of handing it over at the end of the day... it is odd.

I'm odd. And possibly insane.

Still, it will be gratifying as well. He'll like it. I think. I hope. There's also a small evil part of my brain that knows it's going to freak him and is overly pleased by that.

Definitely insane.
