Down by the sea

misaffectionBlackpool on a summer's Saturday is the funnest place to be.
Not as good as the Brighton one looks, but considering the squeeage of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
morbid_sparks maybe that's a good thing. But much Dalek-ness and the old costumes including the Master's as wore by AA in Survival. Liek omgsquee! (Sorry)
Also they hadBrumBessie, which was pretty cool from my standing as both DW fangirl and complete petrolhead.
Most amusing was the way everyone ground to a haul in the Ninth Doctor section - not because of the costumes as you might think - but because they had a TV playing The End of the World and there's nothing like the sound of Chris' voice to grab the absolute attention of the Purple Ladies. *giggles*
Afterwards we went for chips, then hit the beach in glorious weather. Fairly close to the North Pier, I found myself staring at it quite often with that weird curiosity normally reserved for car crashes. It was oddly cathetic...
We wrote Bad Wolf in HUGE letters on the sand and I made half a sand Dalek before we really had to drag my kids out of the water left by the tide. They were so wet.
Last night was highly fun as we sat in the hotel getting seriously sozzled, talking Who and Chris and bananas. Can I point out now in defense of myself and the others that we are NOT as drunk as we'll probably look on the photos? It was actually really sunny and we all caught it (we were sat on the beach for about five hours).
