Laura!Bear!!!
21 Mar 2007 09:27 pmMe and Sparks went to Build A Bear where I absolved the crappiness that was yesterday by purchasing a Laura!Bear.
She is light brown and I got her a a camo outfit (with beret) and a red wig. I then spent a good few minutes removing the threads holding the wig in the given style and then brushed it out before tying it into the half ponytail as worn by Laura in the deleted Duet scene.
Photos will follow when I've organised myself enough.

A post of actual substance
17 Mar 2007 10:24 pmWe took the kids and
morbid_sparks out this afternoon. It's been a while since we ventured Out, mainly due to winterness, and it was nice.
We went to Smithills Open Farm which isn't so far from our house. We saw lots of baby aminals; some very cute piglets, a couple of kids (as in the baby goats, not the human variety), lambs and some extremely sweet baby rabbits. We got to hold said baby rabbits and a chick. They also brought out the most beautiful snake, unfortunately named Ziggy, which I would have happily brought home.
We got to feed the lambs! There was one that was four days old, and a 3 day old piglet ("Harry Trotter" - yeah, we all groaned too) and a kid that kept jumping out of its enclosure.
The kids went on a donkey ride and we saw the owls and the llamas and then it started raining. At which point we decided shelter was in order, so we called into the cafe for a drink and sweets.
The place is lovely and very child-orientated. They're doing Easter Egg hunts in a few weeks (at Easter, funnily enough) so we'll probably go back again.
I want a rabbit.
