misaffection: (McKay/Cadman)
I have very active muses. And a highly critical internal editor. It's a combination that I know is going to cause me many, many problems.

Opened an old fic yesterday. It is old, like it's McWeir. Well not overly; I was writing Elizabeth really badly. I'm rewriting it now as L/R and... Yeah. Grief. It's going to be yet another friendship fic, meaning I have to rearrange the series yet again. I already need to rewrite Love and War and Snow because of Out of Time? (which is a really crappy title but I still can't think of anything better).

I've been trying to keep the series more or less aligned with the actual season but it's... Gah. Almost AU but not quite.

Rodney-in-my-head wants me to rewrite Under The Skin. My internal editor agrees that it's probably a good idea since it'll be from a single POV. Laura...

Is actually worse. But then again Laura's easy to write because she reacts to Rodney exactly the same way I would. Snark back. And be slightly surreal and confuse him. *sniggers*

So. Hopefully I'll finish Feedback, though I need to decide where it's going. Since it's before Out of Time? certain things need to be set up, but without going too far.

I'm going to shut up now cos no one cares or wants to know.

Oh yeah

misaffection: (Happy McKay)
Gateworld has reviewed Grace Under Pressure (or "the Sam in pink one" according to [livejournal.com profile] staceyuk *rotflmao*)

Ahem; "Hewlett plays Rodney with the perfect balance of hysteria, arrogance and, yes, pettiness." Hell yeah.

The review also has much praise for the sheer depth we discover about McKay in this episode, including the whole trust thing that made me cry like at eight-year-old watching Bambi. I'm glad it got such a good review because it was a damn good episode and Hewlett's performance was incredible.

Amanda was also excellent and I have much love for that scene.

I have much love for the entire episode. Which will surprise nobody.
