I come back from church/Hobbycraft/car parts place to find an email from
winter_creature for Beyond. It is an interview with Chris at the time of Strumpet (which I still can't find *grumbles*).
I think, no I'm sure, the interview took place down the pub.
On being questioned re his move back up to Manchester (the guy is a yo-yo), he replies: "But the football’s better up here, the beer’s better, and the women are better-looking. No competition."
On his singing, he performs "Very badly, but very insistently." Which I do not believe for one moment because Chris thinks he does everything badly. The last thing he said he did badly was driving and then went round the Top Gear course in 1min 52.4. In an auto. This is apparently "bad".
With apologies to certain people on my flist, but Chris is not a cat person, but a dog one. Jack Russells being the mutt of choice. (He could have said something, he could have had mine for free...)
And if he was going to be a dog, he would be a "standard-issue poodle".
Whatever one of those is. Obviously the beer is better...
