Ups and downs
27 Jun 2005 04:13 pmWell I finally got annoyed with my inability to play CDs enough to actually reconnect my CD and DVD drives (involving ripping apart the PC, swearing, shouting and much stress).
Five attempts later and success! But now my floppy drive isn't working...

timenchips_ot I find a condolence note to the family of Richard Whiteley. Eh? So I go to the BBC's entertainment pages and there it is in black and white. Mr Countdown has died after a heart op (after a bout of pneumonia).
*blinks*
I'm lost for words right now... it seems too weird to comprehend. He's an Institution. First face on Channel 4 and all that. I grew up with Countdown and his awful ties and the jokes that were even worse.
