There is much in life that is unfair,
In the infinite web of things
That tangles you in strands of despair
Its threads binding your wings

The things that cast long shadows
Across the fragments of your heart
Like a murder of black crows
That swoop and pick it apart

Until you're blind to the point of it
And you see no reason why
To carry on taking the shit
And it's time to run and fly
