Saturday

Ryan Robbins (Ladon) was really funny.

Kate Hewlett

Kate Hewlett came out, said hi and asked us how we were. She then sat down and proceeded to regale us with tales of David when they were growing up. Unforunately she didn't have the family photo of him wearing make-up...

David Hewlett

Firstly, David hadn't been too well and it was pretty obvious. He really didn't look too good and stood at the gate, wincing at the uproar. He told us to shut up and then wandered to the chair and sprawled. I think he'd have been happier if it hads been a bed, bless him.

He was still a good sport, shaking the hand of the Cyberman that stormed the stage and accepting a lemon from some randon German guy. He took questions, none of which I remember. The brightest I saw him was someone presented him with a certificate for "Clan McKay", complete with tartan, and he seemed pretty chuffed with that:

As you can probably tell from the photos, my camera refused to work properly. Woe. Still, for those that want to see my grainy pics they're here

Sunday

I got up early Sunday and got a "virtual queue ticket" for David and Kate Hewlett. They kicked the day off and were the funniest thing ever.

They basically came on and fought for an hour. I really, honestly thought Kate was going to smack him at one point, because he kept going on about her being at the party on Saturday and not getting in until 5am.

He also sang! Okay it was a teeny bit. We got "I'm a little bit country" as the tech guys tried to sort out the microphones used for those asking questions.

I now have that damn song stuck in my head!

The only question I remember was one girl asked about the air conditioning. She was basically asking why we hadn't seen so much of David's nipples, and when he realised that he went very red. Kate just about died laughing.

Sometime afterwards, it was time for the photoshoot with David. Everything I have ever said about not being a fangirl is a complete and utter lie. He gave me that damn cute smile and said "Hi". I think I responded, but my memory is hazy.

Then he put his arm around me - and boy is that guy cuddly and warm! - and my brain shut down. I turned into a giggling lump of idiot *headdesks*

I got "Way to giggle through the whole thing" murmured into my ear, which really didn't help, and I basically ran way.

I R dork.

So I was really dreading the autograph session. But he was very nice and he said that I was "lovely". Granted this was mostly because I share Jane's mum's name, but I'll take that thank you.

I apologised for giggling and loosing my nerve. He looked a little confused then gave me the sweetest smile and said "Oh! No, you're fine. I used to giggle all the time. Sat at the back at school. Usually when they were asking who took the money", which cracked me up.

He signed Rodney!Bear's lab coat! We had a highly bizarre conversation over that seeing as he'd signed the photo in silver pen. He looked at the white coat and then at me and went "I think maybe the black pen?" I nodded and said "Yeah, good idea". He'd signed it and then asked me "Should I put McKay on so you know who it's from?" and I just stared at him and then said "I know who you are!" in a very Rodney tone.

He then asked me if the coat was for a bear and I showed him Rodney!Bear.

David: "Oh, he's cute. I like the shorts. I think we should wear shorts on the set. Or at least when we go off-world."

Me: wordless.

I said bye and sort of fled at that point. And died laughing once I'd gotten out of the room. Thanks for that plot bunny, David *giggles*
