SG1 - The Road Not Taken
Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam.
She really is a dumb blond at times. (And can anyone tell me why the episodes are out of order? Weird.)
So Sammy thinks she knows best and is doing a phasing/bridging thing a la McKay & Mrs Miller. And what do you know? Pear shaped.
Okay two things. There was much squeaking and pointing at Lorne. Lorne. Lorne. Lorne omgz heading SG1 (FTW!) Lorne in the SG uniform!
And then... then Teh Hewlett's name appears and I explode of Fangirlish Glee and the squee is heard in space (possibly all the way in the Pegasus Galaxy only in this reality they've not found Atlantis)
AU SAM WAS MARRIED TO RODNEY!!! *tries to absorb the weirdness of this*
And Rodney? OMFG in a dark shirt and glasses = Helen in a puddle of goo.
After which I then sat freaking cos OMG Dominic and fandom has crashed with my novel. (For those out of the loop here Dominic is my MCplayed by David Hewlett. He's kinda like Rodney, only not. Actually, pretty much as Rodney in the AU)
I broke my brain.
Where was I? Oh yes. Mrs Samantha McKay. Whoa, that's just sounds wrong. Anyhoo, they got divorced and now his ex-wife is dead. Didn't sound particularly heart-broken at that news.
The snazzy man!apartment (read bare floor and lots of furniture in the black-wood-and-chrome vein) was nice, and coupled with the Extreme Sexy of Teh Hewlett in forementioned outfit and glasses... Well I would. Most definitely.
And he had money *grins*
He was also in business (brain starts to crack again) - something to do with property? I wasn't paying much attention cos I was too busy licking the screen. lmao
All we were missing was a piano. If they'd put one in - I would be dead. Really.
Anyhoo. Bad, bad people and Sam is trapped. But Sam doesn't take kindly and shows em.
Aside: the Ori came. The planet disappeared. A vanishing trick more spectacular than Atlantis going invisible. Who'd have thunk it?
So Sam rebels and loses her job. To her sort of ex-husband Rodney (owwwww)
Cut to the most pathetic problem solving EVAH. It works. Apparently first time (okay so Rodney but what?!) and Sam is home. Leaving the AU Earth to be defended by Rodders. Whom is never ever mentioned again and we don't find out if the AU Earth dissolved in WW3 (or whatever).
Sam sits and avoids Pointed Questions. Cos like Vala wasn't around and Cameron was in a wheelchair due to being a political pawn (or not, actually). Turns out they thought she was trapped out of phase and had spent two weeks talking to her. Or an ampty room.
Heh.
But Vala missed her and gave Sam a hug and I adore Vala cos she's sweet but still kicks ass.
End credits.
Highlights: LORNE IN A SG UNIFORM!!! And Rodney looking bloody sexy and being his usual sarcastic, brilliant self and just... whoa. He stood straighter.
Lowlights: The click your heels and say "There's no place like home" ending. PANTS!
Most looking forward to: Sam arriving on Atlantis, knowing an alternative version of her was married to Mckay. Bwhahaha!
